Content & Communications Manager

  • Location: Alpharetta, Georgia

  • Type: Full-time

  • Reports to: VP of Marketing

  • To apply: careers@multisensorai.com

  • Eligibility: Applicants must be based in the Alpharetta, GA area. We will not consider applications from outside the area. Visa sponsorship is not available.

MultiSensor AI helps industrial companies catch equipment problems earlier, before they turn into unplanned downtime and shutdowns. We layer on top of the tools teams already use, so there is no ripping and replacing. This role owns how we tell that story, how we package and launch our solutions, and how Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing stay aligned on what we sell and what is safe to say about it.

This role owns the content that earns trust with reliability, maintenance, and operations buyers before they ever talk to Sales. That means thought leadership, customer proof, original research, PR, and a steady flow of internal news. Every piece is built to be found.

On AI fluency: we use AI tools (Claude, Claude Design, ChatGPT, Lovable, to name a few) every day across research, writing, SEO and AEO analysis, and content production. You need to as well. It is a baseline requirement, not a nice-to-have.

What you will own

Thought leadership and original research

  • Write thought leadership articles, white papers, playbooks, and blog posts that give maintenance, reliability, and operations leaders a point of view worth reading

  • Run an SME interview workflow with our reliability and engineering experts, and turn those sessions into accurate, specific content

  • Plan and manage major content pieces such as industry surveys and research reports, working with external agencies, researchers, and designers from brief through launch

  • Build integrated campaigns around each major piece, including supporting blog posts, infographics, social content, webinars, and sales team talking points

  • Keep a publishing cadence and editorial calendar tied to active campaigns and the buyer journey, and publish on schedule

Search and answer engine visibility (SEO and AEO)

  • Start every piece with a visibility plan: target topics and questions, search intent, keyword and citation opportunity, internal linking, and how the piece will be found by search engines and AI answer engines

  • Write and structure content so it can be cited by AI answer engines, including clear question-led structure, FAQ content, schema and metadata, and verifiable facts

  • Be honest about where traffic exists and where it does not. In our industries, many keyword volumes are small, and some pages are built for citation, not clicks

  • Manage the SEO consultant day to day, including briefs, keyword and content priorities, and review of deliverables for accuracy

  • Track organic traffic, rankings, AI visibility, and conversion to pipeline, and use the results to decide what to write, update, or retire

  • Audit and refresh existing site and blog content for discoverability

Customer proof

  • Own the case study process from end to end: identify candidates with Sales and Customer Success, interview customers, draft, route for approval, and publish

  • Build a lightweight advocate and reference pipeline, and turn customer results into testimonials, review-site content, award submissions, and speaking material

  • Package proof by industry and by problem, such as specific equipment failure modes, so buyers see their own situation

  • Keep every claim traceable to a documented customer result

PR and external communications

  • Manage our PR agency, including story angles, media targets, announcement timing, and quarterly planning

  • Write and review press releases, byline articles, and speaker submissions, and support analyst and review-site programs such as G2

  • Turn launches, customer outcomes, and company milestones into stories that reinforce our credibility in condition monitoring and reliability

  • Track earned media, content pickup, and share of voice

Internal communications

  • Run a regular cadence of internal updates and company news, including launches, customer wins, press coverage, and marketing results

  • Make sure Sales, Product, and Customer Success know what is published, what it says, and how to use it with customers

Support for product marketing

  • Write and edit content that Product Marketing needs for launches and sales support, working from approved messaging and claim guidelines
  • Apply the messaging bible and claim boundaries to everything you write. If a claim cannot be supported, you flag it

How success is measured

  • Thought leadership and campaign content published on the agreed cadence

  • Major research and PR programs delivered on schedule, with earned media pickup

  • Approved case studies published against a documented starting backlog

  • Organic traffic, AI answer engine visibility, and conversion to pipeline trending up month over month

  • Published content that stays within approved messaging and claim boundaries

What we are looking for

Must have

  • Deep, hands-on knowledge of SEO and AEO. You can explain how you plan content for search and for AI citation, and show results from content you planned and published

  • 6 or more years in B2B content marketing, communications, or editorial work, with technical or industrial subject matter preferred

  • A portfolio of thought leadership, white papers, case studies, or research content that you wrote or led

  • Experience managing external agencies, consultants, or freelancers, including a PR agency or research firm

  • Experience in a startup or early-stage company, where priorities shift and the role expands

  • Daily use of AI tools for research, writing, and analysis. You know their limits and you push past them

Also valued

  • Experience running customer advocacy, case study, or review-site programs

  • Experience with survey-based research reports and the content campaigns built around them

  • Working knowledge of HubSpot, Semrush or similar SEO tools, and GA4

  • Experience interviewing subject matter experts and customers, and turning technical detail into plain language

Skills and traits

  • Strong writer and editor who is precise about claims and sources

  • Analytical, with a habit of letting performance data decide what gets written next

  • Organized across many projects, vendors, and deadlines at once

  • Collaborative with Product Marketing, Sales, Product, Engineering, and subject matter experts

  • Comfortable in ambiguity. Direction changes, and you adjust and keep moving

Compensation

Eligible for the company-wide performance bonus and equity programs, plus standard benefits.
